Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Staff to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and support within a clinical environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities for patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide support in lifting and transferring patients as needed, adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including assisting with meal preparation and cooking when required.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and dignity at all times.
- Monitor patients' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff promptly.
- Assist with basic medical tasks as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage with residents in a caring manner, promoting their emotional well-being through companionship and support.
- Participate in training sessions on CPR and other essential caregiving skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience with working with disabled clients preferred.
- Knowledge of APD process preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist patients physically as required.
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding them in practice.
- Understanding of basic patient care principles, including hygiene and nutrition.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards providing care for individuals in need.
- Medication Management Certification will be required to be achieved if not already possessed.
