POSITION TITLE: Loan Servicing Clerk/Receptionist

The Loan Servicing Clerk performs a variety of Loan Servicing duties relating to residential, consumer and commercial loans. Primary tasks include loan payment processing, transaction review/correction, insurance monitoring/updating, mail distribution and customer service/support. This position also shares duties with other servicing staff as receptionist at 35 West Street, Danbury building to accept incoming deliveries and visitors.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a high level of service quality, receptionist duties, and loan servicing duties.
Reports To: Loan Servicing Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Key Responsibilities
Telephone Responsibilities
Answer bank's main phone line promptly (within 3 rings) following quality customer service guidelines
Determine the needs of the caller and route the call to the appropriate person or department
Keep current on branch and department employee locations to minimize call transfers
Receptionist Responsibilities
Greet and direct visitors who come to the West Street reception area
Validate identification for all visitors, provide a badge, and have them sign in on visitor's log; contact appropriate party
Follow security protocols
Loan Servicing Responsibilities
Process incoming mail payments for residential, commercial, and consumer loans
Scan documents to iDentifi and perform quality control on the scanned files
Assist with other loan servicing functions as needed
Educational and experience requirements include:
High school diploma or GED required
Relevant experience with telephone answering skills
Basic knowledge of banking customer service principles and processes
Strong interpersonal skills including verbal communication and listening skills
Strong computer and banking software experience
Proven ability to stay current with and comply with banking and lending regulations

Is regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, such as, a copy machine, calculator, phone, and computer printer. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
Is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as, viewing a computer terminal and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned to self and staff.
Is required to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to convey detailed spoken instructions to other employees and customers accurately.
Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Position is considered sedentary and may require employee to lift up to 10 pounds.
