We are looking for a Brand Controller to join our finance department and take over our company's major reporting and reconciliation duties working in conjunction with a five-person team.
We are a private equity fund focused solely on the food and beverage industry. Specializing in finding emerging restaurant concepts with less than ten units, investing in the brand, and growing them for a potential harvest. The Brand Controller will be responsible for managing critical financial reporting aspects of multiple restaurant concepts. We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities, strategic vision, and attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting in all areas. The successful applicant will have a basic knowledge of how restaurants are run and have prior experience with financial reporting, completing a third-party audit, and managing a team.
The Brand Controller reports directly to the Director of Finance and CFO.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Master's Preferred)
- 2 years experience in general accounting
- Experience with general ledger systems
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements per our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
- Conduct periodic and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the management's attention
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with the annual external financial statement audit
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Perform basic treasury functions
- Manage receivables from restaurant house accounts and third-party delivery systems
- Assist with other duties as assigned by upper management
