About the role
We are seeking a natural leader with a flair for hospitality to join the Savory Hospitality team as a Pantry Supervisor at one of our onsite amenity spaces. Our ideal candidate will anticipate and address the needs of the company and our clientele with a heavy focus on organization, inventory management, and hospitality.
Our business dining amenity experiences are one of our unique services that offer team members the experience of working alongside the Savory team as well as directly interfacing with our onsite client on a day-to-day basis.
This role is a key addition to our growing team. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our Pantry Supervisor :
- Support the General Manager in ordering, inventory, compliance regulation, client satisfaction, training, and employee motivation
- Serve as a wealth of knowledge and Savory brand ambassador on all pantry offerings to educate guests and team members
- Lead team of pantry attendants
- Set and enforce standards of organization for all pantries; train pantry attendants in organizational standards
- Embody Savorys core hospitality standards at every turn, externally with our guests and internally with teammates while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism
- Communicate dynamically, both internally and externally with all levels of both organizations : upper management, associates, clients, and back-of-house culinary team
- Other duties as assigned to facilitate smooth and efficient daily operations
- At least 2 years of experience in a food and beverage environment (retail or catering preferred) in a supervisor or trainer role
- Proven ability to anticipate client team needs and multitask to fulfill requests
- Knowledge of Department of Health food safety best practices
- Quick thinking and conflict resolution skills
- A warm personality, honest values, and the ability to motivate a team
- Ability to remain patient and calm in a high-volume environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Teams
- Experience using Flex catering software is a plus!
- NY Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to walk and stand throughout entire shift
- Capable of repeatedly lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
