PT Sales Associate

Savory Spice offers over 300 different spices, herbs, handcrafted seasonings, extracts, sauces, and related merchandise. We grind and blend our products in small quantities and use only the highest quality ingredients.

The Nitty Gritty:
Location: Boulder, CO
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay rate: $17.28/hour

*Note: Blackout dates for time off are November 1 - January 5 every year due to high volume

The Skills and Know-How:

• Minimum of 2 years of retail experience.
• Love of food is a must!
• Love talking about cooking and food, and have an engaging retail floor personality.
• General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office or equivalent.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Some merchandising skills are helpful.
• Cash register skills are necessary.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

The Physical Piece:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods
• Must be able to maneuver stairs safely and efficiently.

The Day-to-Day:

• Most time will be spent with customers and working on projects given to you by the Store Manager.
• A Spice Merchant helps to clean and maintain the shop.
• Weighing out and bagging/bottling spices for customers and gift packs is a daily task. We have high food safety standards to follow, and training is provided, of course.
• Our Spice Merchants help with merchandising products throughout the shop and help our store leaders with new and creative ideas.
• Classes and events take place in our stores from time to time, and our Spice Merchants play a hand is executing these events.
