INTRO:
Well established Pet Resort is seeking a detail oriented, upbeat receptionist to join our growing team. Full Position will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing emails and client interactions. Natural skills with dogs are a must, but we are also looking for someone who has great communication and client service skills. You will be involved in all aspects of our resort. We are looking for a team player who can take direction and have the ability to think independently.
*Every Sunday is required from 7:30am to 3:30pm and during the week shifts can range 6:30am to 3pm or 11am to 7pm. The schedule depends on the level of business that week.
Full Job Description:
As first contact with clients, this person must have excellent personal skills, telephone skills and etiquette to interact in a professional, courteous and efficient manner with current and potential customers. The individual must understand all policies, procedures and pricing at Savy Paws Pet Resort.
- Assist staff as necessary with kennel operations on a daily basis
- Responsible for direct contact with customers, in person, telephone or electronically.
- Responsible for checking in and checking out of all pets including verification of vaccinations, customer contact information, and any special needs of their pet while in the care of the Savy Paws Pet Resort.
- Directly responsible for client relations and the overall administrative matters to the other staff. Responsible for answering client concerns as needed as well as handling billing and payment procedures.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Must understand and be able to explain all services offered.
- Must maintain working knowledge and pricing of retail products sold. Some self teaching is needed to learn all the products or food.
- Monitors the overall operation of the administrative office and ensures it is kept organized and functional.
- Responsible for ensuring adequate supplies and copies of printed material are on hand.
- Maintain retail area and reception desk neat and orderly, including but not limited to mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning windows and dusting.
- Physical requirements: Often requires lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50lbs; frequently requires handling materials up to 20lbs; additionally requires handle dogs weighing up to 150 lbs.
- Working Conditions: Work is normally performed inside; some outside work is required. Exposure to unpleasant odors and noises. Exposure to bites, scratches and animal wastes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
