Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the supervision of daily operation and maintenance of community amenities. Supervise all staff in support of community recreational plans and objectives as directed.
Primary Duties:
Responsible for the supervision and maintenance of recreational facilities by identifying, reporting, and following up on maintenance and housekeeping issues, as they arise, to ensure that amenities remain clean, well maintained, and adequately stocked with needed products and supplies.
Maintain and manage all first aid supplies for all recreational amenities.
Responsible for overseeing and the supervision of all amenities, including resolving and communicating resident complaints/concerns to the Director of Lifestyles, and ensuring staff complete daily requirements, that support operating guidelines for all amenities
Supervises all recreation staff and ensures daily cleaning checklists are completed and follows up with employees when on shift to ensure cleanliness of the amenities meets operating guidelines.
Provide the necessary training and leadership to ensure the Recreation Staff consistently deliver exceptional customer service
Oversee all requests for room and equipment rentals, reservations, meetings, and events, including set-up, break-down, billing and post event inspections. Ensure all recreation equipment is adequately maintained and stored securely in proper storage facility.
Develop and manage the work schedules for all Recreation Staff, ensuring adequate coverage of all amenities.
Required to fill in as Pool Attendant, Fitness Center Attendant or any other staff position(s) due to vacancies, vacations, schedule conflicts, staffing shortages, or other reasons as needed.
Assist as needed in the preparation and break-down for community programs and events (e.g., Community Day, holiday themed gatherings, and social/civic events, etc.).
Responsible for ensuring facilities are open and closed as needed.
Assist with other duties as directed by the Director of Lifestyles and/or Lifestyles Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
1. High School graduate or equivalent
2. Must maintain CPR, First Aide, and AED certification.
3. Must adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands
4. Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
5. Must possess a valid driver’s license
6. Will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather
2. Required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
3. Required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear and smell.
4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, at times loud when operating equipment.
SAFETY HAZARDS OF THE JOB:
1. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which requires following basic safety precautions.
2. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
3. Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required objects up to 50 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
