REPORTS TO: Director of Lifestyles
STATUS: SEASONAL
DEPARTMENT: Restaurant
EFFECTIVE DATE: April 2025
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide excellent customer service by preparing and serving snacks, beverages, and light meals to guests at the snack bar.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Greet customers and take their orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
2. Prepare and assemble food items and snacks according to standardized recipes.
3. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the snack bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
6. Assist in monitoring stock levels and replenishing items as needed.
7. Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions to customers.
8. Follow opening and closing procedures for the snack bar.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
1. Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred but not required.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
4. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
5. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
6. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
7. Serve Safe certification is preferred but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Standing, walking, and lifting during working hours.
2. Exposure to kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and sharp objects.
3.. Work be indoors or outdoors.
4. May require long hours during peak periods.
5. Potential hazards associated with working in a food service environment, including burns and cuts.
6. Moderate lifting and carrying of supplies and equipment.
