POSITION FUNCTION
SawStop's Freight Supervisor has the unparalleled opportunity to work with all different departments within SawStop. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing personnel and processes for large item/LTL shipments to include: paperwork, inbound containers, and LTL shipments
- Oversight of quality control for large stocking items including maintaining inbound inspections, labeling, and inventory counts.
- Implementation of stocking strategy including first in/first out philosphy
- Training of processes and maintaining best practices for entire logistics department
- Employee development plans for growth/tiered job functions
- Coordination and collaboration with small package (shipping) supervisor for flow of orders
- Partnership with sales department to address timely shipments and order processing
- Partnership with Inventory Analyst to ensure timely entry of incoming items
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of supervising experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi‐task, provide direction to multiple teams, and change direction at a moment's notice
- Motivation to succeed and lead by example
- Visual keenness to the obvious, what is not so obvious, and looking to the future
- Experience with ERP (preferably NetSuite by Oracle) and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
