Responsibilities
- mechanical assembly wide variety of equipment from blue prints and prior build records
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine parts are made according to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, to ensure accurate dimensions of machined components as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on Sawvel built machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to restore used Sawvel equipment to correct operational functionality.
- Ocasional travel to customer sites to comission new equipment or service existing equipment at customer site.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various machining tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- related experience as a Machine Assmebly Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications is essential.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and the ability to perform quality checks on finished products.
- Experience with welding techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic machining operations in both milling and turning is highly desirable.
- Ability to work with various hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.

Pay: $25.60 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
