Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and efficiently operational. The role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of cloud technologies, especially Azure, and a solid grasp of the full Microsoft ecosystem (Active Directory, Windows Server, Office 365, etc.).
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and maintain the Azure cloud environment, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
Implement, monitor, and maintain infrastructure on Azure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Administer, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft Stack technologies including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365.
Automate routine tasks through PowerShell or other scripting tools.
Ensure secure access management and role-based permissions for both on-premise and cloud environments.
Perform regular updates, patches, and maintenance on all systems.
Plan and execute cloud migration strategies when applicable.
Work closely with other IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement new solutions.
Perform backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing.
Ensure compliance with security policies, best practices, and disaster recovery procedures.
Manage system upgrades and new deployments, minimizing system downtime and user impact.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack :
Azure : VMs, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, Backup, Networking.
Windows Server : Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File Server, Hyper-V.
Office 365 : Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive.
PowerShell scripting for automation.
Experience with security frameworks and best practices, including role-based access control and multi-factor authentication.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning.
Preferred Skills :
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform.
Knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, and VPN configuration.
Experience with hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud integrations).
Education and Certifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator, MCSA, MCSE, or similar are highly desirable.
