The ideal candidate is a strategic and disciplined business leader focusing on firm and Affiliate growth and financial operations. The CFO will ensure financial stability with clear business and financial discipline and structure. They will collaborate with the Director of Finance on the financial planning process, manage risk, and collaborating on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and adherence to financial regulations.
The candidate will also have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, which will allow them to influence others. They will report to and work closely with the CEO, the Finance department's Director, including the Finance and Pension Committees.
Responsibilities
Financial / Strategic planning / Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and implement company and Affiliates' financial strategy that aligns with overall growth objectives.
- Monitor cash flow, improve net income, revenue cycle management, and accounts receivable strategies.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance on long-term financial planning to support growth and profitability.
- Monitor ongoing financial performance, ensuring timely communication with the CEO on trends and managing risk.
- Collaborate on the preparation of financial statements, reporting, and forecasts in collaboration with the Finance team (and outside accounting partner where applicable.)
- Review and monitor financial metrics and KPI's making recommendations where necessary to the CEO.
- Report on and present financial results in an articulate manner to the CEO, Finance & Pension Committees when needed.
