Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry and possess a collaborative work ethic, being able to work both in a team and independently on occasion. WORK DESCRIPTION:
Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood and plywood using carpenter's hand tools and power tools while conforming to local building codes.
- Report safety, customer or quality concerns.
- Install products as allowed by associated collective bargaining agreement and/or project labor agreement.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Understand blueprints and sketches. Measure, shape, and cut materials to specified measurements.
- Safely unload and stage material at job site
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Belong to local union with current membership
- Basic hand tools.
- Background check may be required.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
- Occasional out-of-town travel
- Drug screening per union requirements.
- Dependable and punctual
