What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant position at SBFR Partners CPAs LLP?
SBFR Partners LLP is a boutique Amherst-based CPA firm looking for a full-time experienced bookkeeper/accountant to assist its growing practice.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger (Quickbooks primarily) for clients in various industries.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and journal entries as needed for clients.
- Travel to certain clients (all local) on a monthly basis.
- Knowledge of sales tax and related reporting preferred (not required).
- Knowledge of payroll and related reporting preferred (not required).
- Assist with administrative functions of the firm.
Education and Experience
- Associates degree in Accounting (minimum).
- Minimum 5 years bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Basic understanding of US accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with individual, corporation and partnership tax preparation preferred (not required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
