I. BASIC FUNCTION:
As the Commercial Purchasing and Inventory Manager for a leading Transparent Armor and Commercial Architectural Glass company, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day purchasing of materials, from glass to rubber bands. You will perform inventory counts to ensure accuracy each month and assist the Manager of Supply Chain in all required roles. Additionally, you will support other groups such as shipping and receiving to ensure they have all necessary paperwork. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
II. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES or DUTIES:
1. Purchasing Management:
· Oversee the purchasing of all materials needed for production, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
· Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
2. Inventory Management:
· Perform regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and availability of materials.
· Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.
· Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
3. Support to Supply Chain Management:
· Assist the Manager of Supply Chain in all aspects of supply chain management, including planning, scheduling, and logistics.
· Provide support in developing and implementing supply chain strategies and initiatives.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Work closely with other departments, including production, quality, and shipping, to ensure seamless operations.
· Assist the shipping and receiving teams by providing necessary paperwork and documentation.
· Coordinate with internal teams to address and resolve any supply chain issues.
5. Other Duties And Responsibilities:
· Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
· Document and report any workplace incidents/accidents.

IV. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Must have 5 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in the glass or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory control principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
