Textile and Pet company looking for Product Development Assistant for Pet division but is textile related..
- Assist in the design and creation of textile products for Pet, Chair pads, Comfort items and Throws, from initial concept through approval
- Issue development packs to vendors for lab dips, strike offs and sample requests. Follow up with vendors for on time delivery of same.
- Support the development process through daily communication with vendors and factories
- Execute color correction and communication throughout the sample process, ensuring color accuracy, scale,and detail that meets company standards
- Maintain spec sheets(Tech Packs) and Fabric Matching Charts
- Maintain and organize showroom and samples
- Manage sample requests for customers
- Coordinate sample and product presentations
- Coordinate with other departments in the development process
- Attend and participate in meetings with internal departments, sales, production and design
- Attend customer meetings to understand their needs and product aesthetic
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast paced environment
- This role requires being onsite in the NY office (5 days a week).
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
