- Partner with the CFO and senior leadership team to drive financial strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
- Prepare and review financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve profitability and drive sustainable growth.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis
- Lead the preparation and oversight of the company’s annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models for all store locations and corporate functions.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and develop strategies to address variances and optimize performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external CPA firms, ensuring smooth coordination for audit and tax-related work.
- Establish and enhance financial systems, controls, and processes to support multi-state operations.
- Work closely with operational leaders to improve cost management, productivity, and financial outcomes across all store locations.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks by implementing robust internal controls and audit practices.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Work with and develop a team of finance professionals as the company grows, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, bridging financial insights with business objectives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the food retail, supermarket, or multi-location retail sectors.
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel, with a strong understanding of accounting standards (GAAP).
- Proven experience in managing financial operations across multiple states.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance big-picture goals and detailed execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Track record of successfully leading and mentoring high-performing finance teams.
Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
