Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder various items including linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Sort and categorize items based on fabric type and color to ensure proper cleaning methods are applied.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, following specific protocols for delicate fabrics.
- Inspect laundered items for quality assurance, ensuring they meet cleanliness standards before returning them to service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspaces.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management promptly.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
