The Division also ensures the timely ordering and installation of all furniture and equipment required at new and existing schools and process all SCA purchase orders. Within Contact Administration is the Prequalification Unit that vets all firms wishing to do business with the SCA for credit-worthiness, financial stability, integrity, and licensing. Job Description Summary Responsible for preparing Mentor, Capital improvement, Capacity and Requirement Solicitation Projects by reviewing bid packages in TOBSS in order to Bid and Award and Process via our online Vendor Access System. Job Description Responsibilities include: Prepares processes and monitors contract solicitation packages and related addendums. Ensure that all relevant documents are review in a timely, thorough and professional manner, following established SCA policies, practices and procedures. (a) Appropriate prioritization of documents occurs. (b) Good quality work products generated. Reviews bid documents submitted by the Architecture & Engineering, and Project Management Divisions. Assists Contractors and Consultants, in all aspects, of the, bid & award and prequalification process and ensured bidders’ compliance with the SCA bidding requirements. Updates computer files on each project and acts as a liaison between Contractors and the SCA’s staff. Process requests for additional funding prior to award. Prepare process and manage the sealed bid solicitation Request for Contract (RFC) process for various SCA projects related to mentor, capital improvements, requirements and new constructions. Analyze scope of work and cost estimates. Communicate with Architect & Engineer, Construction Management, Prequalification Unit, Business Development Division and Various Other Departments as needed for revisions and updates, and subsequent readiness for the bidding process. In coordination with Construction Management and A & E, review and respond to contractors’ questions and comments received during the bidding process. Function as the Bid Opening Official for the SCA. Maintain computer information system to provide data for planning and control of all projects, and maintain spreadsheets tracking the status of said projects. POSTING CLOSING DATE: 07/14/23 Civil Service Classification: Competitive Salary: Appointment Rate: $63,417 Incumbent Rate: $72,929 Subject to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the appointment rate for any newly hired employee, or employees with less than two years of active City or SCA service, shall be 15% less than the applicable incumbent rate.
