We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced Controller . This newly created position will lead and manage the accounting operations and provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives for our growing organization.

Salary Range : $100,000-130,000

Sign-On Bonus : $5,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure that all financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that proper internal controls are in place to support the integrity of the financial activity
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide perspective on causes and recommendations.
  • Lead accounting staff through annual audit, acting as primary liaison with the external auditors.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support program planning and evaluation.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and analyze variances to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitors fiscal compliance with internal grants processes, federal, state, and specific grants funding agency regulations
  • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department directors.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and non-profit financial management standards.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and presentation to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Support grant reporting and related audits, negotiations and compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develops and / or enhances, implements, and enforces policies and procedures by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other departments to support financial literacy and accountability.

Education and / or Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field. Master's degree and / or CPA preferred.
  • 8 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
  • Non-Profit or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills.
