Clinical Director

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical leadership and policy direction for all intervention services, maintain accepted standards of care throughout the facilities, and provide administrative and professional supervision to staff reporting to this role. The Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring oversight in the areas of licensing/accreditation regulations, contractual compliance with program service standards, compliance with the implementation of the agencies’ foundational evidenced based practices, legal and ethical regulations, clinical supervision, and quality assurance. The Clinical Director will be responsible for agency representation, contract monitoring and billing requirements to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Essential Functions
- Provide oversight (onboarding, training, implementation of services) for the intervention services teams and assist with ensuring excellence in service delivery to all children and families.
- Develop, update and implement service delivery procedures in accordance with accreditation standards, evidenced-based practices and contractual obligations to ensure compliance and quality outcomes that are reflective of best-practices and in parity with local/state/federal laws.
- In consultation with the CEO and other agency leaders, set comprehensive goals for performance and growth of the agency, in relation to intervention services.
- In collaboration with the executive leadership team, ensure sustainability of the organization by supporting the strategic plan with regards to diversification of funding, fundraising, and grant writing for all intervention programs.
- Ensures compliance with all funding contracts (Department of Child Services, self-pay, insurance, and Medicaid), of.
- Responsible for the execution of the Intervention department long-range goals and objectives; ensuring that intervention efforts are embedded in the departments in which Iris Family Support Center operates, and that Iris Family Support Center is seen as a leader in the intervention of child abuse and neglect/family systems in those communities.
- Responsible for the execution and compliance of all evidenced-based models that support high quality outcomes for children and families (i.e., Trauma Based Relational Intervention (TRBI) Family Centered Treatment (FCT), Nurturing Parenting, 24/7 Dads, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Abuse Intervention Program, (formally known as Batterer’s Intervention) and Domestic Violence Services).
- Ensures that the department meets all contractual goals and funding requirements.
- Builds effective relationships and works collaboratively with a variety of leaders, both internally and externally to the organization, including but not limited to: State of IN Department of Child Services leaders, Family Centered Treatment Foundation, Iris executive leadership team.
- In tandem with CEO, COO and Controller, ensure all program goals are met, including but not limited to the following areas: budget (balancing staffing, program delivery, and quality); staffing, and high-quality outcomes.
- This position has supervisory responsibilities over the leaders: Clinical Manager, Family Engagement Services Manager, and Family Connections Manager.
- Regional Travel is expected

- Acts as liaison to local, state, and federal entities as requested.
- Assists with grant development as requested.
- Participates in fundraising activities as required. The number of fundraising hours is determined each year and includes, but is not limited to, a specific number of ducks to be sold during Annual Duck Race Season.
Physical Demands/Expected Hours of Work
- Ability to work within an office environment utilizing standard office equipment.
- Requires the ability to talk, hear, listen, read, write, sit, stand, lift, pull, bend, or stoop, as necessary.
- Some flexibility in hours permitted; employee must be available between the "core" work hours of 8 AM - 8 PM and must work 40 hours each week to maintain a fulltime status.
Required Education
- Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or other related human service degree.
- A license in the state of IN in one of the following areas: mental health counseling (LMHC); social work (LCSW) or marriage and family therapy (LMFT); a minimum of 7-10 years managing programs in the child welfare field.
