We are seeking a passionate and skilled K-6 Classroom Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in differentiated instruction and experience working with both special needs and gifted students. You will play a crucial role in creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect and a love of learning.
- Collaborate with special education staff, counselors, and parents to support student development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school community activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching license or certification in Nevada preferred.
- Experience working with special needs and gifted students in an elementary school setting.
- Strong understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and differentiated instruction techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and learning.
- Familiarity with Google Applications is a MUST.
- Ability to work with SmartBoards and a knack for technology.
- Social-Emotional Instruction experience preferred.
- 31.25–$43.75 per hour based on a 10 month part-time 20 hours per week schedule
- Very small classroom size (2-3 students).
