Loan Servicing Specialist I Salary Range:
$19.06- $20.31 per hour depending on prior experience.
Loan Servicing Specialist Purpose:
As a Loan Servicing Specialist I, you will be responsible for the basic administration and management of loans after origination. You will support the Loan Servicing department by performing various administrative and member service tasks related to loan documentation, research, satisfaction, and maintenance. You will handle routine inquiries from both members and internal Team Members and review and input loan data into the core systems accurately. A Loan Servicing Specialist I acts as a representative of Space Coast Credit Union and provides exceptional service to both members and internal Team Members.
Loan Servicing Specialist I Duties & Responsibilities:
- Corrects loans as needed by adjusting rate, term, and payment posting errors in order to create an accurate member loan history.
- Assists in the maintenance of insurance tracking and collateral securitization and release.
- Answer incoming phone calls within a phone queue and make outbound phone calls.
- Process miscellaneous check transactions for the department, including payments, payoffs, and disbursement of checks.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries regarding loan accounts and other related matters. Resolve basic issues or escalate complex cases to senior Team Members as needed.
- Work with members to obtain any missing or updated loan documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of loan records.
- Review loan documents and data entry into the core systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform quality control and file maintenance reviews on loans.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Loan Servicing Specialist I Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Prior Experience:
- 1-3 years prior experience in a financial institution or equivalent is required. Loan Servicing experience or equivalent is desirable.
Loan Servicing Specialist I Hours:
- Full time Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Rotating Saturdays 9am - 3pm.
