Job Summary
The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of BOH management, food quality, and team leadership while providing direct support to FOH operations. This position is ideal for a driven, hands-on leader who is passionate about culinary excellence, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Back-of-House (BOH) Leadership:
- Oversee all BOH operations, including menu execution, food preparation, and service quality.
- Maintain high culinary standards, ensuring consistency, presentation, and food safety compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to maintain budgetary efficiency.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Implement and monitor food cost and waste management initiatives.
Front-of-House (FOH) Support & Supervision:
- Work closely with the FOH team to create a seamless dining experience.
- Provide guidance to FOH staff regarding menu knowledge, guest interactions, and service execution.
- Support service during peak hours to ensure smooth coordination between BOH and FOH.
- Assist with hiring, training, and coaching FOH staff as needed.
- Uphold high customer service standards and address guest feedback constructively.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume restaurant, club, or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage both BOH and FOH teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on approach with a passion for culinary innovation and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in food cost control, ordering, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
