What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clarion County YMCA Membership Team Member position at Scenic Rivers YMCA?
POSITION SUMMARY
Delivers excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes memberships and programs, and maintains cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area. This position will include 3-4 days per week, including Saturdays, approximately 6 hour shifts and some flexibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
2. Interviews and/or tours prospective members; processes new memberships.
3. Gives program details and registers individuals for programs.
4. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and to the YMCA.
5. Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
6. Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
7. Adheres to financial procedures and policies put in place by finance department.
8. Ability to communicate and work with other departments.
9. Handle additional tasks as needed.
10. Supervise members in the YMCA and provide a safe and welcoming space for all to enjoy.
REQUIRED FLEXIBILITY
1. Train and learn all aspects of the Membership Representative, Building Supervision, and Kid Zone roles under the direction of the Membership Coordinator.
2. Willingness to change roles, up to twice weekly, during regular work day with minimal notice when asked by the Membership Coordinator.
3. Willingness to change scheduled shifts, up to twice weekly, to meet the needs of the association.
4. Willingness to work weekend shifts, up to twice monthly, to support the membership team.
5. Willingness to work nightshift housekeeping hours, 9pm-2am, up to twice monthly.
