    Job Title : Business Operations & Executive Administrator

    Location : Remote, with occasional onsite support / training required in South Denver Metro area (must reside in south Denver metro)

    We are a growing multi-unit dog hygiene business with big plans—4 locations currently open and our eyes on many more. We need a detail-obsessed, proactive, and adaptable Business & Executive Admin to help streamline operations, manage vendor / admin tasks, and support ownership agendas. If you love bringing structure and efficiency to small businesses, pushing processes forward, and taking ownership, this role is for you. Oh, you must love dogs! 🐾💙💛

    The Role

    This position is part business operations and part executive support. You’ll be responsible for key administrative functions that keep our business running smoothly—handling payroll, AP / AR, vendor management, onboarding paperwork, and some financial processes—while also supporting ownership with scheduling and administrative tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Operations

    • Payroll & HR : Process payroll calculations in Excel, ensuring accuracy before owner approval. You will become proficient in this process within 60 days or approximately 4 payroll cycles.
    • Accounts Payable / Receivable : Manage end of month reconciliation, bill payments, and vendor disputes. You will be able to handle most requests independently within 60-90 days.
    • Onboarding & HR Admin : Handle new hire paperwork and ensure compliance with processes within the first 60 days on the job. Assist in developing and implementing an efficient and effective entry level candidate screening process.
    • Process Improvement : Identify inefficiencies and create better workflows. You will find and create two significant process improvements within the first year of work.
    • Systems Familiarity : You will not be directly administering these systems but should be familiar with them. Tasks will be less frequent, including coding credit card purchases for the accounting team. (We use Ramp for expense management.) You will be expected to understand and navigate these systems proficiently within the first 90 days.
    • Vendor Management : Ensure bills are paid, services are rendered, and disputes are resolved. You will develop a tracking and resolution system within the first 90 days to ensure vendor issues are handled efficiently.
    • Executive Support

    • Email & Calendar Management : Assist with scheduling, prioritization, and organization. You will establish a system for managing the owner's calendar and emails within the first 45 days.
    • Small Purchase Approval : Handle purchases on a company card (owner-reviewed). You will fully understand and comply with company purchasing policies within the first 30 days.
    • Task Management : Keep projects moving forward and ensure follow-through. You will develop a system for tracking key tasks and priorities within the first 60 days.

    • Qualifications & Skills

    • Experience : 3-5 years of experience in administrative, business operations, or executive support roles, preferably in a small business, franchise, or multi-location environment.
    • Tech-Savvy : Comfortable with
    • Microsoft Office and other Microsoft programs
    • or quick to learn). There are a variety of other systems to get acquainted with as well.
    • Strong Communicator : Written and verbal skills are key—especially in handling sensitive information.
    • Trustworthy & Discreet : You’ll manage payroll and financial data.
    • Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary : $27 - $29 per hour, depending on experience and education
    • Paid Time Off : 8 Paid Time Off Days per year
