The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work three (3) days in office. For your in-office days, you can expect to work on-site at the Webb Municipal Building (201 W. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80202).
While this position typically follows a standard work schedule, flexibility is required as staff may be asked to work alternative shifts and/or additional hours in response to emergency needs.

The City and County of Denver’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is seeking a talented individual to serve as our Executive Business Operations Administrator. This position is perfect for the professional who takes pride in effectively coordinating and managing multiple responsibilities in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
Denver OEM's mission is to lead Denver's emergency management efforts to cultivate safe, prepared, and resilient communities. Denver OEM is responsible for coordinating the City and County of Denver's efforts in preparing, mitigating, preventing, responding to, and recovering from emergencies that impact our community.
This position will serve as the assistant to OEM’s Executive Director, support the OEM Leadership Team, and function as OEM’s office manager. This position will be the first point of public contact for the Denver OEM and will report to the Executive Director. This position will liaise directly with elected and appointed officials, agency representatives from across the City, and our partner organizations. Additionally, this position will administratively support the City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) program.

- Provide high-level of administrative support to the Executive Director, including but not limited to schedule management, note-taking, booking travel, expense reports and credit card transaction verification.
- Manage EOC staff roster including onboarding and offboarding process
- Serve in EOC activations, training, and exercises in the primary EOC Staffing role
- Lead and represents Denver OEM on various committees, work groups, and at community events
- Office manage, responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Coordinating office maintenance and information technology needs
- Office supply and equipment inventory
- Managing office administrative budget
- Procurement of goods and services for the office
- Catering and event planning for officewide events
- On-boarding and off-boarding of staff
- Procurement Card and Travel Card Programs
- Mobile Device Program
- Updating and developing officewide procedures and handbook
- Preparing and distributing weekly staff meeting agenda
- Parking contracts for city vehicles
- Renewals of office-wide professional memberships
- Updating officewide administrative calendar
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned

- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
