Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications.
- Manage and track the timelines associated with patent filings and office actions.
- Conduct patent searches and gather relevant information to support patent strategies and filings.
- Maintain organized records and databases of patent documents and correspondence.
- Coordinate with attorneys, inventors, and external agencies to ensure timely submission of necessary materials.
- Review and manage patent annuities, maintenance fees, and renewals to ensure compliance.
- Provide support in patent litigation and enforcement activities.
- Assist in the drafting and editing of IP-related documents, including licensing agreements and assignments.
- A certificate or degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent experience in an IP legal setting.
- Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably with a focus on intellectual property and patents.
- Familiarity with patent application processes and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in managing electronic databases and patent tracking software.
- External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
