Digital/Social Media Specialist

Digital/Social Media Specialist wanted! We’re looking for a team member that loves crafting digital content for social media, can advise others on digital media strategies and can analyze and recommend strategies to increase engagement. Job tasks/responsibilities: Write and post social media content for several social media platforms Conduct image searches and provide basic graphics support Take photographs and videos as needed for posting on social sites Develop and maintain social media calendars Participate in daily status meetings Make recommendations to enhance and/or increase engagement on social sites Coordinate the networking of social media sites for all users Create and maintain a digital content library for social media assets (graphics, logos, videos) Develop a comprehensive social media communication plan Develop monthly status reports and quarterly analytics reports Serve as a subject matter expert on all relevant aspects of social media Work fulltime onsite in Norfolk, VA   Minimum requirements: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent on-the-job experience Three years of experience with social networking and search engine optimization Experience writing original copy for social media posts Experience taking photography and video for use on social media Recent experience working in government or corporate internal /external communications.
