As an Operations Logistics Intern, you will collaborate with the Logistics team to optimize freight routing for our supply chain, while considering costs and product liability.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Supply Chain Visibility: Gain exposure to the full supply chain process, starting from container or truckload arrival at the warehouse through the final delivery of products to the store.
• Problem Solving: Leverage analytical skills to identify and resolve supply chain challenges efficiently.
• Costing Analysis & Decision-Making:
  • Develop hands-on experience making critical decisions for freight routing and logistics operations.
  • Analyze shipping methods for routing requests, considering shipment characteristics, costs, and efficiency.
  • Develop an understanding of shipping options, including Small Package, Less Than Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL) and international container shipments.
  • Analysis of inbound shipments to warehouses to help provide detailed information on shipment schedules, contents, and priorities to improve planning, efficiency, and overall operations.
• Customer Service: Apply customer service protocols to ensure satisfaction within our supply chain operations.
• Track Incoming Freight: Monitor and track incoming freight by store location to assess daily and weekly volumes.
• Collaboration: Partner with warehouse teams to address issues and ensure smooth warehouse operations. A portion of the internship includes hands-on training within warehouses, with the majority of the internship office-based collaboration.

Education & Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Alternatively, equivalent practical experience in the field will be considered.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
