The Scheffer Group manages and operates several highly-rated restaurants in Asheville, NC, including Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian, Jettie Rae’s Oyster House, and Gan Shan. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our team. As the Social Media Coordinator, you will manage and execute our social media strategy across all platforms.
The Social Media Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Brand Manager to develop and execute our social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engage with our community, and drive traffic to our websites and physical locations. This role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between separate brands, and blend creative content creation with data-driven insights to deliver impactful social media campaigns.
The Social Media Coordinator should feel comfortable following conversations on the internet while interacting with the public. This position works to ensure that all concepts within The Scheffer Group have a consistent and positive online presence. The ideal candidate will identify as a highly creative person passionate about photography, creating reels, digital copywriting, and visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Create high-quality, engaging content including posts, stories, and reels, for both Facebook and Instagram. Strong photography and videography skills are a must.
- Social Media Management: Schedule and publish posts, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Brand Voice: Maintain and enhance the company’s brand voice for each restaurant across all digital channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand guidelines.
- Community Engagement: Build and nurture a strong online community by interacting with followers and other businesses in the area.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to optimize content strategy and improve engagement.
- Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with the Brand Manager to plan and execute social media campaigns that align with overall marketing objectives and drive brand awareness.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our social media strategy remains innovative and competitive.
- Coordinate with influencers, partners, and collaborators for cross-promotional opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics
- Excellent photography, videography, and editing skills
- Creativity and an eye for design and visual storytelling
- Proven experience creating engaging, successful posts and reels
- Strong copywriting skills; ability to shift tone and voice with ease
- Capacity to take direction and pivot as needed
- Graphic design and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is a plus
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a plus
- Must have access to and proficiency in using your smartphone/camera for content creation and editing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for storytelling and connecting with audiences
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to double-check your work
