What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Assistant (Part-Time) position at Schell Brothers LLC?
Description
Schell Brothers is Delaware’s largest private home builder with additional divisions in Richmond, Nashville, and Boise. Our mission is to bring happiness to ourselves and our homeowners by not only creating exceptional homes and communities but also providing an extraordinary home buying experience. Our employees are passionate about their jobs and believe in happiness, positivity and collaborating with others.
We are looking for a Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team as we continue to grow in the residential construction industry. As a Sales Assistant at Schell Brothers, you'll have the opportunity to get to know folks visiting the model home on a whole new level. They aren’t just “buying a home," it's about creating a relationship in order to help them make one of the biggest decisions of their life.
The primary role of the Sales Assistant is to aid the Community Sales Manager (CSM) in the sales and marketing of homes in a given community. The Sales Assistant will cover the sales center at a given location on the CSMs’ days off and, therefore, is required to present a strong impression and accurate overview of the given community to prospective buyers. Although the CSM will be the main point of contact with the customer throughout the sales process, it is the responsibility of the Sales Assistant to ensure that the CSM receives all necessary contact information, as well as a “buyer profile,” for such prospective buyers so that the CSM can follow up with the prospect in a timely and productive manner. This is a part-time position requiring weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). The role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with prospects and colleagues.
- Sales Environment: Ensure the sales environment remains clean, inviting, and well-organized.
- Community Knowledge: Stay informed about each assigned location’s community details, including base prices, available home sites, community fees, amenities, current incentives, and estimated settlement timelines.
- Prospect Information: Collect and record prospects’ contact information using visitor guest cards.
- Needs Assessment: Identify and document prospects’ buying needs (such as price range, location, timeframe, and house type) and relay this information to the CSMs. The CSM will guide the prospect through the buying process, while the Sales Assistant aims to create a positive first impression and provide sufficient information to encourage a follow-up visit.
- Appointment Scheduling: Arrange appointments for prospective buyers to return and meet with CSMs for a more detailed community review.
- Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including submitting weekly traffic reports, collecting competitive data, ordering marketing materials and office supplies, organizing prospect events, scheduling appointments, and ensuring adequate staffing coverage at locations.
- Realtor Partnerships: Develop and sustain strong partnerships with realtors.
