Position Overview:

As an Estimator/Sales Support representative, you will play a key role in supporting our Sales Team by providing detailed and accurate material takeoffs, cost estimates, and field measurements for custom residential home projects. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and our sales team to ensure precise estimates and smooth project execution from initial consultation to delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Residential Custom Home Estimating – Review architectural blueprints, calculate material requirements, and generate accurate, detailed cost estimates for custom home projects.
• Customer Service – Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential clients, contractors, and architects to ensure clear communication and project success.
• Data Entry – Accurately input estimates into the system and convert them into active orders.
• Field Measuring – Conduct on-site measurements for custom home orders to ensure precision in material quantity and fit.
• Special Order Tracking – Manage special orders and track delivery timelines for custom home projects.
• Sales Representation – Represent contractor sales staff when needed, offering expert estimates and guidance for residential projects.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency, ensuring the highest level of service for residential customers.
• Safety and Wellness – Adhere to safety standards and best practices to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year degree in Construction Technology or related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in estimating for custom residential home projects is required.
• Expertise in blueprint reading, material calculations, and cost estimating for custom homes.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop relationships with homeowners, builders, and contractors.
• Proficiency in estimating software and systems used in the building materials industry.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with building materials and the residential construction process.
