What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Administrator position at SchillingCPA, Inc.?
We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant with a keen business sense and superior organization skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or tax preparation, clerical tasks, general business, as well as a desire to expand their knowledge base. This position requires a self-driven individual with a desire to grow and succeed. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
This position will manage multiple client accounts, performing tasks including, but not limited to:
- Data entry, either manually or through management of automated systems
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation tasks
- Assist with management report writing
- Handle journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Support balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, and other accounting software for daily tasks
- Provide clerical support to the finance department
In addition, this position will be required to monitor multiple email accounts, correspond in writing, by phone, and via video calls, in a professional manner, maintain and manage the office workflow management system, and perform other tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Expert in MS Word and Excel, and Google Sheets and Docs
- Proficiency in accounting principles, including how various entries impact each financial statement
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop
- Ability to perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of journal entries and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with financial report writing processes
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Insatiable personal desire to learn and grow
- Previous experience in tax preparation
- Familiar with social media, ChatGPT, etc.
