We are currently seeking a Project Accountant for our Rye Brook, NY location. This is a fully in-office role reporting directly to the Assistant Controller. The Project Accountant's primary responsibility is to support the project team regarding contract billings, payments, timely reports, closeout compliance, and any other duties related to assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as a central point of communication between clients and internal team members
- Accounts Receivable - ensure that client billings are managed and processed in an efficient and timely manner
- Accounts Payable - ensure that subcontractor invoices are received, approved by necessary parties, and any discrepancies are identified and resolved
- Collect and track compliance documents
- Process payables with an accurate understanding of the sales-tax and use-tax requirements for the project
- Generate monthly reporting and data analysis relating to client projects
- Execute a proactive approach to project closeout
- Other duties as assigned
