Job summary:
Program and Set-Up various CNC machines.
CNC Programmer and Set up person Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC Programs
- Set up CNC machines.
- Develop CNC machining process for new projects.
- Maintain effectiveness and efficiency of the production schedule.
- Selecting cutting tools and work-holding tools for new projects
- Provide training to machine operators for each new set up/process.
- Maintain and improve daily productivity.
- Update and modify outdated programs, implement latest cutting techniques, and lean methodology.
- Troubleshoot minor machine errors, program errors.
- Maintain quality and safety control standards.
- Work effectively with other departments to achieve the common goal.
CNC Programmer and Set up person Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years set up experience in house or previous employer.
- Programming: in-house training and trade school or minimum 2 years programming experience with Swiss Screw machines
- 5 years min Swiss Screw Machine operation experience
- In-house QSP training
