Sales Representative – Architectural Woodwork Industry
Reports To: Sales and Estimating
Job Overview
The Sales Representative plays a key role in driving new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the company’s continued growth in the architectural woodwork industry. This individual will be responsible for lead generation, deal negotiation, and customer engagement, as well as managing prequalifications and industry networking events.
Key Responsibilities:
Selling
- Generate and vet new client leads.
- Manage sales opportunities and pipeline.
- Prepare and submit proposals.
- Drive deal negotiations and closings.
- Conduct term negotiations and contract reviews.
- Perform post-bid analysis to refine sales strategies.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Serve as the face of the company to clients and prospects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Share industry insights and contribute to thought leadership.
- Maintain and update the INNGERY contact library.
Customer Prequalifications
- Oversee document collection and management (bonding, insurances, EMR, etc.).
- Submit and track prequalification documentation.
Customer Tours / Networking / Industry Events
- Organize and host shop tours with full involvement.
- Manage and attend networking and industry events.
- Maintain and manage customer data.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related role in the architectural woodwork or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract review skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data management.
- Knowledge of prequalification processes and industry compliance requirements.
