What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROJECT SOURCING SPECIALIST position at Schlumberger?
Job Summary :
- Implement plans and tactics to effectively manage the sourcing activities related to the assigned portfolio of projects to maximize supplier performance (cost, quality, lead time) during project execution.
- Implement sourcing plans with the goal of assuring specified quality, required delivery times and minimizing the total cost of the products and services.
- Document performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing events with the use of Ariba.
- Select a high-performance supply base for assigned portfolio, in accordance with short-list of preferred suppliers defined by Category Managers.
- Conduct RFI/Q/P (Request for Information/Quotation/information/Proposal) and bidding processes ,negotiate prices and terms with suppliers in order to meet specified quality, delivery and cost objectives.
- Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with Sourcing Manager and Contract Specialists.
- Drive the parts and process qualification, in coordination with Supplier Quality teams.
- Work closely with the Supply Manager/Leader to guarantee supply for all portfolios.
- Effectively communicates with and maintains the highest degree of relations between the Company and all levels of supplier personnel.
- Complies with all Schlumberger, and local procedures applicable to the job function.
- Analyze best cost delivery model for each purchase, Create Cost Comparative, compliance with SFM.
- Engage materials managers for expediting where direct local supplier contact is required or in case of issue (logistics, quality, etc.).
- Monitor open POs and provide visibility on deliveries from material request to GR.
- Monitor the consistency of required delivery dates (RDD) of critical POs.
- Alert project team on any deviation in delivery. Liaise with all parties involved to secure the appropriate solution for projected late deliveries.
- Engage with local SSO team to request support and/or to handover operational tasks.
- Delivery Follow-ups, Expedite, Status Update to Stake Holders weekly, Monthly basis.
- Engage with supplier for Vendor Managed Inventory (FG,WIP, Raw Material Stage) Forecast to suppliers.
- Maintain On Time Delivery from Suppliers as per target. Maintain ,Optimum and Cost effective Logistics Model.
Minimum Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor Degree in Business / Administration with 3 years of experience in Supply Chain (Procurement Specialist, P2P Specialist or Production Planner) and SAP.
- Knowledge in local regulations and TCC assurance.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
