We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Interior Designer Sales Assistant to join our team in the commercial furniture industry. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to our sales and design teams. They will work closely with our design and sales teams to support client projects, provide design expertise, and ensure the smooth execution of furniture design solutions for commercial spaces. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about interior design, with a keen interest in commercial furniture and space planning. Key Responsibilities:
Design Support:
Assist designers in creating custom furniture layouts, color schemes, and material selections for commercial spaces.
Help prepare and organize design presentations, including mood boards, 3D renderings, and product mock-ups, tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with design teams to create space plans that optimize functionality, aesthetics, and ergonomics within commercial environments.
Space Planning:
Support space planning efforts by utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software to create layout plans for commercial spaces.
Assist in analyzing and optimizing spatial arrangements to maximize the efficiency of office layouts, breakout areas, meeting rooms, and other commercial spaces.
Sales Support:
Assist sales teams in managing commercial furniture sales.
Collaborate with sales representatives to prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations for clients.
Product Knowledge & Specification Management:
Assist in researching and sourcing furniture and materials that align with client requirements, budgets, and design preferences.
Stay up to date on product offerings, new releases, and trends in the commercial furniture industry to recommend the best options for projects.
Help organize and maintain design samples, catalogs, and product libraries for client presentations and internal use.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of commercial furniture products, including specifications, materials, and available configurations.
Assist in ensuring all product specifications are met and confirm orders with clients based on their selections.
Help organize and manage samples, catalogs, and product brochures for client presentations.
Qualifications:
· Degree or diploma in Interior Design, or a related field
· Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or drawing software. (CET is a plus)
· Strong knowledge of commercial furniture products, materials, and design trends is a plus.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
· A passion for interior design and creating functional, stylish spaces for commercial clients.
