PRODUCTION CONTROL ASSISTANT
Position Summary: Assists Production Control Coordinator in the daily duties of job setups, issuance of job numbers, computer setup, routers, preparing job packets, including retrieving them and other such duties as necessary for manufacturing and rebuild departments.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares and distributes production documents according to quality procedures and policy.
- Controls documents while job is in production according to quality procedures and ensures job records are moved to the next department.
- Change routers, distribute change orders, and retrieve obsolete job-related documents according to quality procedures.
- Retrieve documents from manufacturing, rebuild, or quality areas to prepare for invoicing and completion of jobs.
- Controls job-related inventories, including manufacturing and rebuild related items.
- Sets up new and maintains existing customer maintenance file.
- Checks with accounting and gets credit approval before opening new jobs.
- Inform Controller of any purchase order that states terms other than Net 30.
- Enters jobs in computer and prints out required documents, opens job numbers.
- Complies with established policy, safety standards, and quality procedures to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Ensures all documents needed for invoicing, customer purchase orders, shipping and receiving documents, and all other job-related documents are available and stored in a file after completion for review and permanent storage according to quality and company policies.
Training and Experience:
- High school or equivalent and 2 years of work experience or a combination of community college, vocational school, trade school, and work experience.
Physical Demands: The employee is required to:
- stand, walk, push, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and long periods of sitting
- exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
- lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
