What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Operations Transformational Leader position at Schneider Electric?
- Consultant to VP (VP owns the organizational strategy & vision)
- Works with NAM HUB leadership team to determine where the business is going and how it will get there. Focus on medium and long term goals.
- Directs the organizational strategy and owns the strategic planning process – ensuring that the leadership team remains fully engaged and that the objectives and initiatives put in place are aligned, are tracked and progressing.
- Develops plans to implement the strategy, identifying what each department needs to do to make the strategy work.
- Ensures E2E strategic process fully integrates with day-to-day business objectives
- May take responsibility for delivery of specific projects within the strategy.
- Responsible for obtaining and evaluating information about industry /manufacturing trends, new technologies, threats, and opportunities; guides discussions and contributes insights derived from knowledge and analysis of industry with Chapter Leaders for impact analysis and action.
- Assists with Agile transformation and business process gap analysis, guides discussions, makes recommendations, and tests ideas to address gaps to minimize risk of successful project execution or business continuity.
- Engage with specific cross-functional (HUB, GSC) projects
- May serve as a senior project manager on one or more critical initiatives at any given time, guiding the project team, driving appropriate analyses, meeting project goals, managing timelines and working with leadership to successfully implement new processes, technology or strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Proven experience in process engineering and leadership with 7 years of experience
- Willing to travel up to 25%
- Idealy located out of the following locations: Raleigh, NC / Franklin, TN / Cedar Rapids, IA / Florham Park, NJ
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in process improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and team management abilities
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and quality assurance
- Experience with electrical/mechanical systems preferred
