What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machinist Apprentice position at Schneider Electric?
What will you do?
- Makes adjustments on tools, fixtures and other equipment to produce parts of the required quality.
- Inspects parts to blueprint.
- Uses sketches, blueprints, tools, equipment and instruments.
- Makes sketches of parts to be built.
- Obtains and uses correct materials, supplies or parts.
- Inspects for and reports needed repairs to supervisor.
- Maintains and lubricates machines and related equipment.
- Places materials, parts, tools, fixtures and equipment in proper locations.
- Records information on forms for record keeping purposes.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
What qualifications will make you successful?
Possess High School Diploma and working towards the completion of an associates degree in a related field.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to use standard tools.
Able to read and understand complex diagrams and blueprints.
This role is under our student worker program and must meet all of the following requirments:
- Must work a minimum of Twenty-Four (24) hours per week. Students that work a minimum of Thirty-Two (32) hours a week will be eligible for out tuition reimbursment program.
- Enrolled in an accreddited school that has been approved by the company. Programs must be related to skilled trade and the needs of the organization.
