Summit Energy Services, Inc. seeks a Sales Compensation Program Leader in Boston, MA.
Job Description: Animate and Chair the Sales Compensation Committee by guiding the committee's discussions and facilitating decision-making toward the goals of the business for Strategic Direction, Policy Development, Program Evaluation, Sales Compensation Design and Issue Resolution. Ensure that the sales compensation program operates and complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Devise and execute sales compensation strategies that align with the organization's objectives. Partner with sales management to establish fair and achievable sales quotas that align with revenue targets and reflect market conditions, historical performance, and sales capacity. Collaborate with finance and sales operations teams to model and simulate different scenarios to evaluate the impact of changes to compensation plans, quotas, and sales targets. Design Commission Policy and operational execution process in partnership with relevant stakeholders. Analyze sales performance data, commission payout reports, and sales compensation trends to provide insights and recommendations to sales leadership for plan optimization and performance improvement. Manage program according to project standards. Effectively relay the committee's strategies and decisions to all relevant stakeholders. Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure the company's rewards programs are competitive and aligned to expectations of pay for performance standards. Position eligible for remote work up to 3 days per week.
Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in financial management or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Designing and administering sales compensation plans using industry strategies and practices; Overseeing governance and compliance with financial regulations; Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), objectives & key results (OKRs) and performance standards; Managing a team of professionals and overseeing organizational change; Performing data analysis and reporting and making data-driven recommendations for program optimization and improvement; and Using relevant software and tools for sales compensation management (commission and compensation Excel templates).
