Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.
As the first point of contact for our patients, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment, managing front desk operations, and ensuring efficient administrative support for both patients and providers.
Experience in a medical office or eye care setting is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person with a great attitude and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities (Front Desk Receptionist):
- Greet patients with a warm and professional demeanor, both in person and over the phone
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using our practice management system
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance coverage, and collect co-pays
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Assist with patient registration, including updating demographic and insurance information
- Coordinate communication between patients, technicians, and doctors
- Respond to phone inquiries and route messages appropriately
- Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Provide excellent service to patients, helping to make their visit smooth and efficient
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Comfortable working with electronic health records and scheduling systems
- Professional and compassionate attitude with a commitment to patient care
- Team player who is dependable and eager to learn
