Description
- Moves and loads hazardous wastes under direction of supervisor.
- Loads and unload products from trailers using forklifts and/or other material handling equipment.
- Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant
- Transport products between warehouse and plant operations area.
- Delivers products to various units within the plant in a safe and timely manner.
- Handles all material stacking.
- Maintains forklift and other material handling equipment by performing routine pre-inspections preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Identifies and reports faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
- Makes simple adjustments or repairs, such as realigning belts or replacing rollers, using hand tools.
- Utilizes Plastic Granulator (Grinder) to recycle loose materials for re-use.
- Shovels loose materials such as gravel, metals, plastics into scrap containers or barrels and labels them appropriately.
- Follows company standards and legal regulations to ensure a safe and positive work atmosphere.
- Maintains a clean and hazard free work area.
- Assists machine operators with maintaining a clean and hazard free workspace around machinery.
- Cleans work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, and other materials and disposes of them in the proper areas.
- Additional duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
PREFFERRED: 1-3 years of driving the forklift in a manufacturing environment and 1-2 years of Warehouse experience.
Must have a Valid Driver’s License
Must pass a Background Check
Must pass a Drug Screen
Must be 18 years of age
