The Grant Manager utilizes their exceptional project management skills to lead cross-functional efforts for grants management, focusing on writing grant proposals, interim and final reports, and conducting research as needed to support grant-funded initiatives. This role will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that grant projects are executed effectively, reporting is timely and accurate, and that research findings inform programmatic and strategic decisions. This is the pay range for our staff in this position, from entry to fully independent and proficient in the role utilizing our propriety systems and processes. The candidate selected for this position will be offered a wage applicable to their background and skill set as aligned to our business.

- Lead cross-functional project management efforts for grant-funded initiatives, coordinating tasks across teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage the full lifecycle of grant projects, from writing proposals and budgets to preparing interim and final reports in alignment with grant requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Product, Finance and Executive Leadership, to gather necessary data and insights for grant reporting and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop interim and final reports that detail the progress, outcomes, and impacts of grant-funded initiatives, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with funder expectations.
- Write compelling and strategic grant proposals that articulate the needs, objectives, and expected outcomes of Scholarship America's programs, or related experience in proposal writing and reporting.
- Manage and track the grants pipeline within a CRM system, ensuring updates are accurate and that deadlines are met.
- Conduct and oversee research as necessary to support grant proposals, reporting, and ongoing program development, ensuring that findings are integrated into broader organizational strategies.
- Coordinate with external partners, including funders, contractors, and research collaborators, to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
- Establish clear project plans and timelines for grant initiatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Develop and implement key metrics to track grant project outcomes and communicate these effectively in written reports and presentations to funders and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all grant-funded projects adhere to compliance requirements, including proper financial reporting and adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure grant-related research findings are translated into actionable recommendations for organizational growth.
- Oversee and manage external consultants or partners engaged in research or evaluation efforts related to grant-funded projects.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on grants management, including writing proposals and reports, or related experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in writing grant proposals and preparing interim and final reports for funders.
- Experience managing and tracking the grants pipeline using a CRM or similar system.
- Strong research skills with experience in applying research findings to inform grant proposals and reports.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, able to translate complex information into clear, concise reports and proposals for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Passion for advancing equity in education and commitment to Scholarship America's mission.
- Master's degree in philanthropy, research, or related field.
- Experience in the education or nonprofit sectors, particularly related to scholarships, student success, or higher education.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with funders and external partners.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements related to grant-funded initiatives.
- Cultural awareness to appreciate varied lived experiences and the potential impact on educational achievement.
