Work Location: This position works out of our downtown Toronto office, 2 days per week, or as required, with flexibility to work from home on other days. Occasional special event evening work or weekend work may also be required.
Role Summary
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting and assisting the sales team with all aspects of the sales process, from preparing materials to participating in sales meetings and assisting with customer follow ups across a wide account base. You will use your strong communication skills to build relationships with key internal and external partners to support the sales force. Primary Responsibilities
- Working with the sales team to create product presentations, product displays and promotions, and attend customer sales meetings as needed.
- Organizing, preparing and distributing sales materials, including PowerPoint decks and Excel item files.
- Compiling, analyzing and distributing weekly sales reports and tracking tools.
- Assisting with the coordination and execution of seasonal sales conferences (sourcing venues, event management, creating presentations and prepare materials etc.)
- Actively participating in weekly team meetings and providing project updates as required.
- Building relationships with internal and external partners to ensure great customer service
- Assisting with the organization of trade shows, regional book fairs and special events, attending as needed.
- Interest in children’s books, authors and book media
- 1-3 years of sales support experience, or other relevant experience; publishing industry experience is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly in designing sales presentations in PowerPoint, creating Excel spreadsheets and collaborating in Teams
- Experience using project management tools like Asana or other comparable task organization softwares
- Experience with BNC Salesdata/ CataList and Book Manager would be an asset
