An opening exists in the Trade Division for the position of Trade Sales and Marketing Intern reporting to the Sr. Manager, Marketing & Publicity. This is a paid internship opportunity.
Work Location: This position works out of our beautiful downtown Toronto office located at 2 Bloor Street West, 2 days per week, or as required, with flexibility to work from home on other days. Occasional special event evening work or weekend work may also be required.

Primary Responsibilities
- Working with the sales and marketing teams to help organize sales conference. This would include helping to build presentations, organize material and communicate to the team.
- Collaborating with the Marketing and Social Media Specialist on research projects.
- Participating in public and industry events, festivals, trade shows, account meetings and sales conferences, including physical set-up and teardown, as needed.
- Supporting the sales team in preparing presentations and completing buying grids for sales meetings.
- Participating in weekly team and department meetings.
- Supporting with some administrative tasks and data entry as required.
- Keen interest in children’s books and children’s media
- Personal values that are aligned with Scholastic’s Credo, including a demonstrated understanding of the importance of broadening representation of marginalized communities within the publishing industry.
- Exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to multitask and work well in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, detail oriented with a professional attitude.
- Fluency in English and French would be an asset
