    EXETER SCHOOL DISTRICT LINCOLN STREET SCHOOL GRADE 3-5 BCBA

    Lincoln Street School in Exeter is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) to join our team and run our EBD services for students in grades 3-6. The BCBA will be responsible for providing direct daily services 1:1 to student and creating programming. The BCBA will develop and oversee behavior intervention plans for a student with significant behavioral and communication needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for our students.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop individualized behavior intervention plan (BIP).
    • Provide ongoing support and training for teachers and staff on behavior management techniques and strategies related to student.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the behavior intervention plan and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop a comprehensive support plan for the student.
    • Assist in crisis intervention and the development of proactive strategies to prevent behavioral issues.
    • Communicate effectively with the family, providing them with resources and guidance to support their child’s behavioral development at home.

    Desirable Qualities:

    • Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, staff, and families.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Compassionate and patient approach to working with students with diverse needs.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.

    Qualifications:

    • Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification.
    • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
    • Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective behavior intervention plans.

    Additional Duties:

    • Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration, as needed.
    • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

    Equipment:

    • Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed to assist students.
    • Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
    • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
    • Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with special needs.
    • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
    • Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
    • Effective writing and verbal communication skills.

    Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:

    • Works in standard office and school building environments.
    • Ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
    • Prior experience working with special needs children desirable.
