- Plan a developmentally appropriate program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of children through a variety of teaching techniques.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and developmentally appropriate to the age and interest of children through attractive displays, interest centers and selection of appropriate materials.
- Implement district curriculum and benchmark expectations and standards.
- Provide individual classroom assessments.
- Prepare for assigned classes, showing written evidence of preparation at request of immediate supervisor.
- Plan and coordinate with other teaching staff and classroom paraprofessional.
- Plan for and provide conferences for parents.
- Communicate regularly with parents.
- Participate in program meetings and in-service professional development as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Position: Preschool Teacher
Schedule: 2024-2025 School Year
Salary: Per the 2023-2025 Teacher Bargaining Agreement
Location: Early Learning Center
Qualifications: Must have a 4 year degree in a child development field
Line of Supervision: Reports directly to the Assistant Director of Early Learning Programs.
Responsibilities Include:

Physical Requirements:
Physically capable of meeting all performance responsibilities required with caring for children, including frequent standing, and walking, stooping, bending, kneeling and lifting.
Must be able to lift a 40 lb child and work with children on the floor in play areas.
